Grades 6 - 8

Welcome to Our Lady’s Faith Formation

Grades 6 through 8

Faith Formation:

  • Middle school, Grades 6-8, meet on Wednesdays at either 5:30-6:30pm or 7:00-8:00pm.

Middle School Youth Ministry

  • We gather the 3rd Sunday of every month, generally from 5:30-7:30pm (meal included).  There is a different focus for every month, with games, activities, food, and prayer, all designed to help grow our young disciples.  Friends are always welcome and we love having parent helpers!

Classes Start in September

Classes have been assigned and materials are being prepared to welcome your child to Faith Formation classes beginning the week of September 11. If you have not registered your child yet—do so immediately! (You will need to come to the Office to do so. Be aware there is also a $25 late fee per family due.) Many classes are full and we’d need to know if more catechists are needed. You may want to be that person (save yourself tuition and late fees).

Beginning  August 28 there is also a $25 fee to transfer your child from the initial time you registered him/her to another class time. Transfer requests incur cost and time. They also affect how many classes we offer and frequently require additional catechists to be recruited.

*No child will be turned away for financial reasons. Any requests for fee waiver are to be made to the Directors and will be kept confidential.

MSM Christ's Hand's Retreat

Twenty youth gathered to serve the Ankeny and DSM communities for three days of service this July for our Christ’s Hands Outreach Retreat.

Every July we invite youth entering grades 7-9 to join us as we work to be the hands of Christ in our community. We ended our time together with a friendly competition of meal packaging at Meals from the Heartland.
