Sponsors:

Requirements for Sponsors:

• Be a confirmed Catholic.

• At least 16 years old.

• Active, Participating (Practicing) member of the Catholic Church.

• Not the parent of the candidate.

• Read the following: Welcome Letter for Sponsors, Introduction to Confirmation, History and Development of the Sacrament of Confirmation, and fill out the Sponsor Information Form.

Role of Sponsors:

• Help answer candidate's questions about the Church and help him or her to get to know the parish community better.

• Present the candidate to the parish as a way of announcing the candidates readiness to celebrate his or her Christian discipleship and involvement in the Church's mission.
