For many years OLIH has given out a book at Christmas for families to read and grow in their faith life. Pick up your book at Christmas Mass, or over the weekend (while supplies last!). Then follow our blog and join the conversation!
This year our blog will include guest bloggers from parishioners and parish staff! Join us in reading 3 chapters a week (they are short chapters - no speed reading required!), then read the blog Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, starting December 30, and ending just in time for Lent.
Why “Rediscover the Saints”? This fall about 100 of our parishioners participated in a study of Jeff Cavins book “The Activated Disciple” in there he speaks of finding your crew - the Saints - who inspire you, who lead you, who you wish to imitate! There are so many wonderful Saints and role models of faith out there, this book, “Rediscover the Saints,” along with our bloggers, will be a great introduction, or reintroduction, to Saints you may already be familiar with and many that you may not.
This Christmas Season may you find a Saint, or two, that you may desire to get to know better throughout the New Year!
