Evening with a Lost Boy of Sudan

From: Wednesday, September 26 6:30 PM
To: Wednesday, September 26 8:30 PM

St. Mary Church Social Hall, Wednesday, September 26, 6:30 pm.

Our Friends of St. Francis invite you to an evening with Dhoal Larjin, whose life is witness to the transforming power of God’s love in the midst of daily adversities and numerous atrocities. As a nine year old Dhoal was one of the Lost Boys of South Sudan. He was abducted and coerced to become a child soldier. His journey from that life to a refugee camp, education, and in 2005, resettlement in Des Moines will be shared.

Dhoal’s presentation is appropriate for teens and adults.

There will be an opportunity to make a tax deductible free will offering to The Larjin Fund.

Refreshments will be served.

No RSVP is required for individuals or small groups.

However, let us know if you plan to bring a large group or class to the event so we can plan accordingly.

For more information please contact Marion Panyan, (515) 321-6395.
