We are glad you are here and we look forward to welcoming you and your youth the week of September 8, 2019 when all grades begin the Faith Formation year.
Here are a few points of interest that will help you register your youth:
To register youth in Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Faith Formation Program, families must be registered, contributing members of the parish. If you are not registered in the parish please contact the parish office.
The registration platform is updated. Instructions for registering online will be included in the mailing that will be sent out July 25, 2019 to the registered households that have Faith Formation aged youth (age 3 - 17)
Sacrament Preparation: When preparing for a sacrament, (1st Eucharist or Confirmation), regular and consistent attendance in a Faith Formation program for the year prior to and the year of sacrament preparation is a pre-requisite for celebration of the sacrament, unless the child/youth participates in a special sacramental process. Please contact the appropriate Session Director with any questions.
Fees: $100 per child; maximum of $200 per family.
All fees are waived for those who serve as Catechists/Support Staff Volunteers.
Note: A late fee of $25 per family will be charged for any child registered after August 31 or to transfer your child to another class time. If you have any difficulties with tuition or fees, waiver requests can be made to one of the Directors.
Online Registration is now available only to adults/teens who will be catechists or support volunteers for the 2019-2020 Faith Formation year.

What to do if my child is 8 years old and has not received Baptism or is in 3rd grade or older and has not yet received First Communion (Eucharist):
Register student for grade-appropriate Faith Formation classes - the preferred time, if available, is Tuesdays at 5:30pm
Contact Patty Mayer to arrange for discussion of your child's needs
In October students will attend classes specific to the Sacraments twice a month on Tuesdays at 5:30pm (they will need to check in with their regular Faith Formation teacher for attendance purposes, then will go to classroom for sacraments)
Those here for Baptism will be Baptized at the Easter Vigil (the night before Easter)
Those here for Reconciliation and Eucharist will receive sacraments before Lent
Ministry Support needed in the following ways:
Be a Catechist - Along with a partner, you'll pass on the Catholic/Christian Faith. All formation materials, supplies, resources and training are provided to support this role.
Office Assistant - Along with a partner, you'll provide light office/receptionist duties during Faith Formation Session times, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (no Sunday hours).
Nursery Assistant - With other assistants, you'll support our Catechists and Support Staff Volunteer Ministers by interacting with their children (our youngest Catholics) during Faith Formation Session times.
Teen Assistant - Youth must be in the 8th - 12th grade in order to be a teen assistant. The registration fee is waived for the youth's own Faith Formation time and if the youth is in the 10th grade, being a teen assistant will count toward Confirmation Discipleship Service.
Parking Lot Minister - With other adults, you'll ensure that youth are safe during drop off & pick up times (no Sunday hours available).
Hallway Minister - With a partner, you'll assist/direct youth and adults who are in the hallways before, during and after Faith Formation Session times.
Wednesday Gym/MPR Minister - With a partner, you'll accompany youth in the gym/mpr on Wednesdays: Available shifts:

Wednesday Youth Ministry Room Hospitality Minister - With a partner, you'll accompany youth in the youth room on Wednesdays: Available shifts:
3:45 pm - 5:00 pm
5:00 pm - 6:15 pm
6:15 pm - 8:00 pm
Wednesday Youth Ministry Pizza Baker - Bake pre-made pizzas for youth
5:45 pm - 7:15 pm
Wednesday 9th Grade Hospitality Ministers - with a partner, help create a welcoming environment for youth and assist staff with various tasks throughout the evening, including delivering supplies/snacks to rooms, tear down AV equipment and on occasion, resetting rooms for next day use.
8:15 pm - 9:30 pm
Prayer Angels - be willing to be assigned to a Faith Formation Session group (pre-K through 5th grade) and pray for the youth throughout the year. You can send notes of encouragement and/or provide special tokens throughout the year to let them know you are holding them in prayer.
Be willing to help when projects pop up throughout the Faith Formation Year - Many small projects pop up throughout the year where help is needed to ensure the success of one-time events and projects. These opportunities for ministry are promoted in the weekly bulletin, weekly email updates and at times announced at the end of Mass. Thank you for your willingness to help where needed.
