The music ministry at Our Lady’s exists first and foremost to glorify God. Our ministry is guided by the teachings of Christ, and the beautiful music and traditions of his Church. Our primary role is in the context of the liturgy through sung prayer. We strive for musical excellence, realizing that beauty can help us experience God in our midst.

Cantor, Accompanist, Instrumentalist
Cantors, Accompanists, and Instrumentalists are leadership roles in the Church and these skilled individuals support the sung prayer of the assembly. CHOIRS FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND ADULTS
Magnificat Choir: The Magnificat Choir brings together singers of all ages and serves as the principal choir for our major liturgical celebrations throughout the Church year. This choir sings in four-part harmony and is often accompanied by instrumentalists. The choir sings a rich variety of sacred music in many musical styles, along with the hymns and songs in the parish missal. Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 7:00–8:30 pm in the church. Regina Caeli (Funeral Choir under the patronage of Mary, Queen of Heaven): The Funeral Choir assists our grieving families by providing music and support through sung prayer and spoken responses at the funeral liturgy. The choir is open to all people who are available during the late morning hours. This is a wonderful opportunity for those who are retired, work-from-home, or participate in the home-school community. Celebration Choir: The Celebration Choir leads music for the 5:00pm Saturday Mass once a month. Featuring piano and guitar accompaniment, this ensemble offers a contemporary style to music at Mass. The choir rehearses for one hour immediately before Mass and welcomes singers and instrumentalists of all ages. No long-term weekly rehearsal is required. Young Adult Ensemble: Be a charter member of our newest music group! Open to young adults high school graduates – age 30, this ensemble will lead music at the 5:00pm Mass the second Saturday of each month. Rehearsals are from 3:00–4:30pm before Mass. CHERUB & CHILDREN’S CHOIR
Cherub Choir (Kindergarten - 3rd Grade) is designed for our youngest singers who love to praise God through music. Children learn the spoken and sung parts of the Mass, simple refrains, and musical responses appropriate for their age. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 5:15–6:00pm, following the Faith Formation schedule. The choir sings about once each month at the 8:30 a.m. Mass. Children (Grades 4-8) are invited to develop their musical gifts while helping lead our parish in worship. In addition to learning the sung Mass parts and hymns, choir members also have opportunities to sing in parts and play handbells. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 6:15–7:15pm, following the Faith Formation schedule. The choir sings once each month at one of the weekend Masses.
