Bible Timeline Bible Study

What: This is the study that Fr Mike Schmitz's mentions often in the Bible in a Year podcast. In the Bible Timeline Jeff Cavins walks us through Salvation History in a way only he can do! There is so much packed in the scriptures and this study helps us to unpack. Even if you have taken this study before you would find new hidden gems every time!  

Soul Shop

When: Thursday, September 10, 6:30-9pm

What: Soul Shop workshops give us the tools needed to meet those with suicidal desperation in supportive and compassionate ways. It equips individuals with experience and knowledge that can help them to commit to have the hard conversation, ask good questions, listen with their heart, and lead a person to safety. You could consider it emotional CPR - giving emergent and lifesaving care while getting them the help they need. 

Metanoia

What: Join us for a "transformative encounter with God, not just a one-time conversation."  A series by Fr. Dave Pinvok, known for his Wild Goose series on the Holy Spirit. The Metanoia Video Study contains 10, half hour episodes shot in locations all throughout the Holy Land. The audience will be able to encounter the Lord in the settings of some of the holiest sights in the world. Metanoia is a spiritual journey through the places where Jesus physically taught His Church the meaning and the way of metanoia. 

Christ Our Life

What: a great opportunity to gather with all your Catholic friends and family at the Casey's Center in Des Moines. Amazing Catholic presenters including Chris Stefanick, Bishop Espaillat, Fr Robert Spritzer, great Catholic vendors, and Mass, Reconciliation and Adoration! A high school and college track offered! 

 Healing the Whole Person

What: Experience Jesus in His mission of healing! Physical, spiritual, and emotional healing, central to the Church's life and 2,000-year tradition, come to life in this series. This 8-week series of pre-recorded talks, with Dr Bob Schuchts PhD and Sr Miriam James Heidland SOLT, is based on Dr Schuchts book, Be Healed. We walk around in this life wounded and seeking healing, these weekly talks and time for reflection will help to find the deep healing that comes when we invite, and allow, the Lord to come into our wounds and heal us. These weeks will be "a journey to wholeness as we enter into the heart, face the pains and wounds within, and allow Christ's divine love to bring the healing we ardently desire."

What: A pilgrimage to the only approved Marian Apparition in the USA lies in Champion, WI. More details to come!
