What's an Oblate?

From: Sunday, January 27 2:30 PM
To: Sunday, January 27 5:00 PM

Held at St John Basilica, 1915 University Ave, DSM

Would you like to learn more about Benedictine spirituality for the laity? Oblates of Conception Abbey meet monthly in Des Moines to study the Rule of St. Benedict as a means of fostering their own spiritual growth. We are inviting anyone interested to join us for our January meeting when Fr. Daniel Petsche, OSB, our oblate director, will be presenting the program. We will be meeting 2:30-5 p.m. on January 27 at the Basilica of St. John Parish Hall, 1915 University Avenue, for a potluck (bring a dish to share), discussion and Vespers. Come join us! The well of wisdom in the Rule is very deep and you may discover it adds a wonderful dimension to your spiritual life. If you have questions about this meeting, please email George Appleby.
