The Pilgrim Mother, a statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe, is visiting the Diocese of Des Moines from July 15 to September 11. This life-sized statue is traveling to dioceses around the United States in preparation for the 500th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady to Saint Juan Diego in 1531 in Mexico.

The church will be open for quiet prayer and reflection every day, listed under 'general hours', and specific events, including a 45-60 minute "experience" will accompany people's visit to the statue that includes a digital retelling of the story of the apparitions, a mystery of the rosary, a song, an opportunity for people to write petitions on white ribbons, and time for prayer and reflection.

Note:  The Experience is bilingual; either in English with Spanish language subtitles, or in Spanish with English-language subtitles.

The Pilgrim Mother will be at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart August 6-13.   Here is the schedule; plan to join us and invite friends & family!
