Our Faith Formation Program for Pre-K -12th grade, is a partnership with parents &guardians and we couldn't do it without our incredible volunteers!

Here is our 2026-2027 Faith Formation Calendar that provides the dates/times for each of the sessions & meetings.

Catechist & Support Volunteer 

Each year we welcome 150+ catechists and 40+ support volunteers for our program to guide and help the more than 700 youth in our Faith Formation program. Please prayerfully consider how you can join us this year. 

 


Catechists: Echo the teachings of our Lord through instructing and accompanying youth 3-18 years of age. Being a content expert is not required. The Formation Team provides all materials and training. 

What types of Catechists do we need?

  • On Campus Catechists - facilitate and accompany youth at church (grades Pre-K-9) as they grow in their love for Christ and His Church.
  • In Home Catechists and Hosts (Grades 10-12) - facilitate and accompany youth in the Catechist/Host home as they grow in their love for Christ and His Church.
  • Teen Catechists - Youth in grades 8-12 assist an adult catechist at church in facilitating and accompanying youth as they grow in their love for Christ and His Church.
  • Youth Initiation Team – Accompany youth between the ages of 8-17 who are unbaptized or were baptized in another Christian Tradition and seek full initiation into the Catholic Church.

Special Needs Assistant "Faith Friends”: Adults and teens provide one on one (1:1) assistance in the classroom, helping children with disabilities focus on/and complete tasks in integrated classroom settings.

Office Assistant: Greets youth, parents, volunteers and visitors that may enter the building during faith formation sessions. Answers questions, enters attendance and contacts parents as a safety measure when children are late or missing from class.

Nursery Volunteer: Provide supervision and care to children 6 weeks to 6 years. Greet parents upon arrival, sanitize toys, administer first aid if necessary and change diapers.

CLOW Volunteer: Volunteers are needed for this ministry twice a month during the 8:30am Sunday Mass to help guide children ages 3 yrs to Grade 3 sing, participate in liturgical responses, and reflect on the Mass readings. 

Hallway Monitor: Ensures the safety of youth and faith formation participants by monitoring all hallway activity. Reports any concerns to Faith Formation Staff. Delivers attendance folders to the office.

Parking Lot Attendant: Ensures the safety of all faith formation participants by assisting them as they enter and exit the parking lot and building with care.

Gym/MPR Monitor: Welcomes youth into the MPR/Gym, watches over youth to ensure a safe environment, and direct youth to rooms at appropriate times.

Youth Room Hospitality Minister: Welcomes youth into the Youth Room, ensures snack availability, and helps serve and clean up the pizza area on Wednesday evenings.

Youth Ministry Pizza Baker: Bakes premade pizzas in the parish kitchen and delivers them to the youth room when finished on Wednesday evenings.

9th Grade Hospitality Minister: Assist and support Catechists and Youth each Wednesday night. Tasks include welcoming youth as they arrive, directing youth who need assistance finding rooms, delivering items to rooms and set up/tear down A/V equipment if needed
