First Communion is celebrated during second grade:
In order to celebrate First Communion, the youth must have
A copy of their Baptism on file at the parish prior to these celebrations
Consistent attendance in faith formation classes
Celebrated first Reconciliation
Completed the Sacrament Prep Book “God’s Gift”
If your child is older than second grade but has not received First Communion, please contact Jackie in the parish office.
Below are important 2023-24 dates to put on your calendar:
Baptismal information: (if not Baptized at OLIH): Due by November 1
Parent/Youth Tour of Church: 3 opportunities January 28, February 11, and March 3 from 1-3:00 pm
Celebration of Reconciliation: December 10 2:00 pm
Mandatory First Communion Practice: April 13 at 8:30 am or 10:00 am
Celebration of First Communions: April 13 at 1:00pm or April 14 at 1:00 am
First Communion assignment notifications: TBD
