Faith Formation

Parents of students in Faith Formation classes:

We have reserved Mary’s Place (previously Rooms 1 &2) for YOU during all Faith Formation times!  Come in, have a coffee or soda, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and community!  We look forward to seeing you at Mary’s Place!


Grade 9

9th grade: Teens are reintroduced to the basics of the Christian faith through the exploration of the big questions of faith:

  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why did Jesus die?
  • What is faith?
  • What is prayer and how do I pray?
  • Why should I and How do I read the Bible?
  • Who is the Holy Spirit and what does he do?
  • What does it mean to be "filled" with the Holy Spirit?
  • How can I make the most of the rest of my life?
  • What does it mean to have new life in Christ?
  • What is evil and how do I resist it?
  • Does God still heal today?
  • What is it about Church?
  • What do we tell others about our faith?

This exploration occurs by utilizing the Alpha Youth Series. Participation and regular attendance in this small group experience is expected as part of preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Grade 10

10th grade: Explore life through study of the Paschal Mystery and how Sacraments empower us to live a Christ centered life.

Participation and regular attendance in Life Teen is expected as part of preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Grade 11

11th grade: Study Social Justice teachings and their application to one’s daily life. In addition, explore the role of the Church and its effect in one’s life.

Participation and regular attendance in Life Teen is expected as part of our ongoing formation as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Grades 11 & 12 have a yearly scheduled visit to the On With Life facility where they participate in a prayer service and interact with the residents.

Grade 12

12th grade: Investigate Scripture and its guidance to living a full life by knowing God. Students will explore Vocations including: dating, lifestyle, college, career, Holy Orders and family.

Participation and regular attendance in Life Teen is expected as part of our ongoing formation as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Grades 11 & 12 have a yearly scheduled visit to the On With Life facility where they participate in a prayer service and interact with the residents.
