Shelley Tegels
Preschool Director
Shelley is the Director of Our Lady's Little Learners Preschool. Shelley came to Ankeny from Arcadia, Iowa and joined the preschool program at it's inception in 2003. She became the Director in 2010.
Shelley has overall responsibility for the operation of OLLL, a state-licensed preschool, setting its Educational Standards and managing its resources. She is in charge of the enrollment and registration process and is happy to meet with all prospective families to answer questions and give tours of the program. She also strives to connect the preschoolers with the larger community and parish through fundraisers and service projects and welcomes your collaboration and participation! While the business of preschool is her primary focus, serving the families and students of OLLL is truly her joy and privilege.
Shelley received her MS in Industrial Relations and a BS in Psychology, both from Iowa State University.
Shelley generally works Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00, from August to June, but is often found in the office in the summer months.
