From the Water to the Cross: Journeying with Jesus through Lent

Dr. Halbach will explore the Sunday Gospel readings for Lent with an eye to how Jesus’ journey from baptism in the Jordan to the cross on Calvary, offers us a roadmap for our own spiritual journey through Lent. Themes that will be touched upon are embracing the Father’s love for us, the role of light and darkness in our lives; the role of the Spirit and the challenge to share God’s mercy with others; and, finally, suffering and surrender.
