Love Lunches: Feeding Ankeny Kids

Love Lunches is a summer lunch program for children and their families solely supported by church donations. It runs May 28 through Aug 22. Help is needed in providing goodies, preparing meals, transporting and serving them. Sign up for your slot online.
OLIH is leading June 3-7, June 10-14, July 22-26 and Aug. 5-9. However, you are welcome to sign up for any dates that you are available.
Lunches are prepared at Ankeny First United Methodist Church, 206 SW Walnut.
As part of the West Side churches (OLIH, Holy Trinity Lutheran, Ankeny Christian, and Ankeny First United Methodist) we serve food at Sunset Park, 1320 SW 3rd St (if inclement weather, at Ankeny Presbyterian Church, 37 SE Trilein).
Also needed: gold fish crackers, animal crackers, granola bars, fruit cups and applesauce cups. (Can be dropped at OLIH)
Donations of gift cards for fresh items also needed: Costco, Sam’s Club, Fareway, Aldi’s, HyVee (can be dropped off at OLIH Office).
